Unitech Energy Resources Inc. is a Calgary-based junior oil and gas exploration company operating in Western Canada.  Unitech also operates in Texas through a wholly owned subsidiary, Jadela Oil (US) Operating LLC.  Unitech has acquired rights to exploit oil and gas mineral rights over 21,672 gross acres (10,116 net acres) in Maverick County, Texas.  The land is located 20 miles south of Eagle Pass and directly west of El Indio, Texas.  The primary Texas target zone is the Eagle Ford Formation.

The management team believes their experience in Canadian resource plays (including the Bakken, Cardium, Montney and Horn River) will be invaluable and transferable in the development of the Eagle Ford resource play because Unitech can apply completion methods not in commonly used in Texas.  In particular, the use of vertical and horizontal “open hole propane fracs” as opposed to “plug and perf slickwater fracs”.  Unitech is optimistic the current market environment provides an excellent opportunity to Unitech as an emerging technological leader in the up-dip oil part of the Eagle Ford play.

At a meeting of the shareholders to be held on June 24, 2011, the shareholders of Unitech Energy Resources Inc. will be asked to approve a consolidation of its common shares on a 10 old for 1 new basis and to change the name of Unitech to “Jadela Oil Corp”.
